Who Are We
Earth Elements Design Center supplies high end custom home interior finishes to the building industry. We are a complete one stop shop for Appliances, Cabinetry, Doors and Door Hardware, Lighting, Slab, Tile, and Wood Flooring.


We currently have three physical locations throughout the North-West Region however our business is now rapidly expanding across America and the Caribbean with our proprietary state-of-the-art software solution. The Job

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the experienced Senior Accountant will ensure the integrity of accounting information by researching account issues for compliance and by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  • Provide technical support and advice on management
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
  • Provide input into department’s goal setting process
  • Prepare financial statements and review budget according to schedule
  • Work with outside auditors for tax preparation
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance (tax, bank, insurance)
  • Plan, assign and review staff’s work - India back office. 
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Provide backup for US payroll and HR
  • Situational Management – ad-hoc projects and questions
  • Oversee AR at highest level. Understand business and billing relationships, and work with management.
  • Supplier account management
  • Prepare and maintain lease agreements, company documents etc.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional clerical office environment in our beautiful Gallatin Gateway, Montana showroom. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, etc. Primarily inside in well-lighted, well-ventilated areas.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, in-person position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel
This position requires minimal travel but may require overnight travel occasionally.

Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, required
  • 5 years accounting experience, preferred
  • Proven senior accounting experience
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
  • Awareness of business trends
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
