Who Are We
The Earth Elements Design Center supplies high-end custom home interior finishes to the building industry. We are the complete one-stop shop for Appliances, Cabinetry, Doors and Door Hardware, Lighting, Slab, Tile, and Wood Flooring. We currently have three physical Showroom locations throughout the North-West Region however our business is now rapidly expanding across America and the Caribbean with our proprietary state-of-the-art software solution. The Job
  • This position works directly with the Showroom Manager and Cabinetry Team in supporting their efforts to successfully complete cabinetry projects both locally and regionally. The Cabinetry Product Specialist will be involved in supporting activities associated with selling, client selections, design, and ordering of cabinetry projects.
  • Welcoming clients by greeting them, helping, and engaging clients through conversation to determine needs
  • Providing clients with excellent customer service always
  • Showroom Product Knowledge and ability to assist other department colleagues to provide additional items or services for customers
  • Assist homeowner and/or trade with design needs based on the individual project products and required application
  • Understanding/Reading Architectural Plans
  • Creating estimates for materials and install and meeting bid deadlines
  • Tracking and maintaining job opportunities via the Design Schedule software
  • Using Computer Programs to include: Outlook, Elements, Bluebeam, 2020, AutoCad, and other programs specific to the department
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current trends, markets, and product lines
  • Following up with customers for accounts receivable
  • Working closely with accounting and informing accounting on status of projects for correct invoicing
  • Participating in local activities as required (i.e. Home Show, Parade of Homes, others)
  • Participating in own professional development
  • Participating in opening and closing procedures
  • Answering phones and directing calls appropriately
  • Ordering and labeling samples
  • Keeping showroom and sample towers organized
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Design preferred
  • Minimum of two years of sales experience is required
  • Experience within the building, design, or architecture industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of product areas and lines is preferred
  • Must be proficient in Math and English
  • Must have a clean driving record in order to be able to meet insurability qualifications
  • The ideal candidate has communication proficiency, is results driven, has good organizational skills, shows initiative and is a self-starter, is customer/client focused, has the technical capacity, and ability to multi-task.
  • This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, etc. Primarily inside in well-lighted, well-ventilated areas, but can at times be outside in external environments.
  • This is a sedentary role; however, lifting of approximately 25 pounds with occasional lifting of small objects and samples; sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and finger dexterity.
  • This is a full-time position. The hours of work are Monday through Friday; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be requested occasionally.
  • Travel is primarily local, up to 1-hour driving distance during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record, per insurance eligibility requirements.
